SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic small-molecule pan-agonist of the estrogen-related receptors (ERRα, ERRβ, ERRγ), developed as a pharmacological "exercise mimetic" studied for inducing metabolic adaptations resembling those of physical activity, primarily through ERRα-driven upregulation of PGC-1α and fatty-acid oxidation.
In mouse studies, SLU-PP-332 increased the proportion of oxidative type IIa skeletal muscle fibers and improved exercise endurance, alongside increased energy expenditure and reduced fat mass. Researchers have flagged pan-ERR activation as carrying potential off-target risks, including cardiac hypertrophy and liver toxicity signals, that have not yet been fully characterized. All published evidence is preclinical; no human clinical trial data were found.
